Hi John,

thanks for the derived table solution. Unfortunenately in our case the statement is generated by our OLAP frontend application based on Microstrategy. Therefore I'm quite restricted and do not have the possibility to use derived tables for this special report.

The explain you posted finally makes clear why the error message says something about derived tables although we don't have on actually. That's interesting!

I think to solve this I will create a one to one view with the additional field (the concatenated one) and use this instead of the tables. This seems to work in V2R4.0. That means I have to modify my Microstrategy schema, in fact one attribute, but I think that will be done faster than migrate to 4.1 ;-)
