I have had two queries abend on 3598 errors but we use LOCKING FOR ACCESS against all tables involved. Can anyone tell what really causes this error?

3598 Concurrent change conflict on database - try again.

Explanation: During processing of the user's transaction, another user changed the database

As far as I can tell no changes took place to the databases.

We had one abend on Friday afternoon and again this morning. Two different queries but similar in some ways.
