Hi Matthew:

I too am going to looking into Fred's suggestion on the flag. Any suggest that he makes is worth pursuing.

Without knowing about the flag, I have found that adding a very small fraction you can also overcome this situation, such as:

cast((dec_col + .00001) as dec(1,1)) -> .3 when dec_col = .25

It is good to have options.
