Try OLE-DB - it is being used at several sites in production very successfully. You don't land data anywhere - it is taken straight out
of SQL Server and is loaded into Teradata using FastLoad, MultiLoad, etc. The only thing is, you will need an NT/W2K server to run it as
OLE-DB is an MS standard and runs in those environments. I would say it is a much cleaner, straight forward and easier method than what is
currently proposed. Again, this is from a 'technical standpoint' - the politics and other issues are up to your site to work out!
