Well, the application doesn't require anything of the sort. The filesystems are at that size for administrative ease. I understand that, but I'm uncertain whether it's a worthwhile tradeoff for performance reasons.


  I created a 360 GB file system using DAP and concatenated disks.  


(Un)fortunately, I don't have root on the node--I just have to deal with it.


  Refer to the DAP manual for description of how to do this.  


Had a mutual acquaintance returned mine three years ago, I could do that-

-but enough idle chit-chat.
