Subj:		Default LOCK FOR ACCESS

This is my first post to this forum, so please forgive me if I ask a commonly known or widely understood question.

Can anyone explain to me how to set the database default SELECT locking modifier to "LOCK FOR ACCESS". It appears our current default is "LOCK FOR READ". I have asked our DBA's to investigate and respond, but I was wondering if anyone on this list could help.
