John,

My turned to be puzzled! I know that there is typically littel or no DDL during major portions of the processing day, so caceh getting spoiled probably doesn't come in to play. I've never definitively checked to see if all sessions record AMP activity during the logon request. I do knwo that most sessions do. I fact, when we first implemented it confused us because our "query count" nearly doubled from our counts previous to the &I implementation, even thought our CPU consumption didn't increase. Further investigation showed that each session was recording a first request with CPU consumption o about .1 CPU seconds.

If I get chance to reseerach this further, I'll let everyone know.
