Subj:   Re: Admin Comment - Job postings on the TDATA-L Forum

From:   Russ Huntley

I happen to be looking for my next assignment. I would like to be able to post a message that I'm available, and would like to see postings of available positions. But only until I get a job. Then no more posts (until I need another job.)

But seriously, while I agree that job postings might be viewed as chaff by many, I think it would provide a service to the entire Teradata community. Sometimes it's hard to find good Teradata talent, and sometimes it's hard to find Teradata engagements. When I'm not interested in job postings, I would treat them like any other topic that doesn't interest me at the moment. I'd ignore them. One suggestion might be to designate in the subject line that the message is a job posting. That would make job postings that much easier to ignore for those not interested.

My 2 cents,

Russ
