Boeing partnered with NCR to do hash join testing about a year ago, and it has worked well for us. I checked with my contacts at NCR,
and there has been only one hash join specific problem reported since our test.
Tech Alert 376 covers a case where the hash values were not available in the spool files under some circumstances, and that lead to
incorrect results. This was fixed at V2R4.0.1.32 and beyond.
As for 3610 errors, we see them a lot. NCR seems... disinterested in 3610s. Their view seems to be that, since the software trapped the
error and no system outage resulted, this is a low priority event. They don't seem to realize that for us, application down (3610) is
nearly as bad as system down.
