Subj:   Re: Fastload vs Multiload

From:   John Hall

Just to re-state your question: Is there any way to tell, just using information contained on the Teradata, whether the last load/update/delete of any table was performed by MLoad?

The answer is 'No', there's nothing in the data dictionary which indicates how a table was last loaded or modified (whether SQL, MLoad or FDL). Nor is there any characteristic about the table itself which would give an indication.

Just in case I mis-understood your question: The flip-side is that if submitted from MVS/VM, you can look in DBC.EVENTLOG (column LOGONSOURCE) to identify jobs which contain MLoad or FDL steps - but you have to go back to the job source to actually determine which tables were affected.
