Subj:   Time vs. Current_Time

From:   James Miller

We have recently installed a new box at our customer site(their first one) and those of us on the team do not have a significant background as a DBA or SYSADMIN to answer the question at hand.

The situation is that when we want to use current_time or current_timestamp, the query returns a '***' value. There is no problem using time, date or even current_date. Is there a function/switch that we need to set? We have already changed from ASCII date to Teradata date. Due to our secure environment, we have no connection to GSC, to allow them to investigate the situation.

So any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks,

James Miller
