So essentially ARCMAIN is useless for copying macros from one database to another. I think this should be explicitly stated in the manual. The manual says that partial names are fully qualified to the default database name but it doesn't say default db name of what (i.e. database dumped from, userid, database dumped to).

So how do others copy thousands of macros to other databases? I am in the middle of a disaster recovery exercise but my DR database does not have the same name as production. So even though I dump the macros every week, in the event of a real disaster, they would be unusable unless my DR database has the same name as production.
