Amer,

At Connect Austria's data warehouse we have the following load criteria:

CDR's (rated and non-rated) are loaded on a weekly basis for rated and twice-daily for 'raw'/unrated CDR's. The rated data is kept online in one big CDR table for around one year before being shifted to individual monthly tables with no SI's. The unrated data is only kept online for 4 months due to space limitations.

One has over 1 million customers, so the rated CDR table has around 1 billion rows for 14 months data. This is about the limit for sizing on our current configuration, so we are reducing the size to an 8 month history. We will soon be upgrading from a 4 node 5200 (500Mhz processors, 10 AMP's per node) to a 6 node 5250, this will improve performance especially when interrogating CDR records.

We refresh the other data warehouse tables on a daily basis. With new records being added to historical tables and non-historical tables being completely refreshed daily.

Regards,

Matt
