I am having good luck with the Teradata OLE Load utility. It uses OLE DB to connect to Oracle and ODBC to connect to Teradata. It has a graphical interface that lets you choose a table from the Oracle DB then pick the columns you want to copy. It generates the Fastload script. You can copy this to an editor and make modifications to it. It runs on NT or Win 2000. I am running it currently on NT workstation. The performance is decent, especially so when compared to other tools. I just loaded a table of 840,000 rows in 20 minutes. The larger the table, the better it performs.
