Subj:   M-Load for Cross-Tab table

From:   Sudarsan Thopay

Hi all,

We have datafile in usual format.

     Acct_Nbr Prod_Id..
     Acct_Nbr Prod_Id..
     ................. ..............

It has hundreds of Prod_Id.

Using Multi-Load, Is there a way to load a table in Cross-Tab format. (i.e. The table with columns Acct_Nbr,Prod01,Prod02,Prod03 ....,Prodxxx). We would like to have one record for each account and a Y/N flag for the specific Prod_Id. Apparently the table is NOT normalized, it has hard-coded Prod_Ids as column names and a view on the normalized table could achieve the required result. But it is not quiet efficient to the business users for further analysis. Right Now we are using BTEQ/SQL to achieve this, which takes v.v.long time for the result.

Thanks

Sudarsan Thopay
