You right, in fact in my observation when a batch is doing many I/O and the unix node have a 75-85% of wait I/O, online people (when batch is in RELative policy) may wait up to 90 seconds just for a show table !!! (some users call before 80 seconds), Yes yes I know that when no online user is running we lose much power for the batch...

some statistics is needed to kown when the switch between REL and ABS during the working hour is sensible (certainly in REL at noon !).
