Howard,

you can run just SQL statements in a MLoad command environment(leave out the MLoad type functions) to run dynamically changed SQL (not just the database you want to target). Of course you would have to change the error control type stuff that you do in BTEQ for this.

Also as Dave said use the database statement as the method just to change target databases, so you could have that as a PDS member that is concatenated in the MVS JCL or you could do a .run command to pull it in.
