Phil,
I cannot offer any help but I can offer sympathy! This is an obscure area that NCR support staff don't seem to know well at all. You
will need to press them very hard to get a detailed understanding.
Our version of the issue was the different way round. We wanted to now what work is done on fields defined but not used. They seem to
require much CPU processing. We were needing to load a 500 field record into 2 tables, one "half" of the record at a time.
