If this is simply a BO to database connection then you should call it in as a problem with the GSC.

You really need to get a list of the tasks (SQL requests) that BO is doing during this process and provide this To the list.

Also, are you trying to compare 1 vs 1 connection or 400 / 700 vs 1 connections.

Many of these types of problems occur when you have a serial process that could happen In parallel. Say you have 10 requests included in the BO connection process. In Oracle and SQL Server it may be ok to do these in serial. In Teradata you should try to submit all of these requests In parallel.

Also, you may want to review the Primary indexes of the BO system tables / views. These may need to be Reworked for Teradata and may be optimized for Oracle or SQL Server.

However, there does seem to be more involved in this problem.
