Hayes,

If you are wanting to use BTEQ from the Teradata System, then you need to connect to UNIX (i.e. logon). If you want to run BTEQ from your PC, you only need a Teradata login ID and BTEQ on your PC. The TeraScript referred to below by Mr. Schuster is a 'friendly' interface to BTEQ and does a great job of handling your BTEQ Scripts from a Window's based shell. However, I believe that he uses WinCLI instead of ODBC for better performance. Is this correct John?
